Ahmedabad, Sep 24 (UNI) Mr S P Jain, Managing Director of the Pride Hotels Group, has been elected the new president of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI).
Mr Ghanshyam Sevakramani was elected the senior vice president and Mr Suresh Talera of Woodlands hotels is the new vice president, while Mr Kamlesh Bharot of Rajdhani restaurants was elected new secretary of HRAWI. Mr Dinesh Advani is Joint Secretary whereas Mr Prem Tiwari of Portico restaurant was elected the Treasurer of HRAWI.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jain said ''We, the new elected committee members of HRAWI, will take up various issues like license fees, excise, FSI and electricity duty affecting our members in their respective states with the concernd authorities.'' ''We will also work towards promotion of tourism and the requisite infrastructure in these states with the active support of Government,'' he added.
The Association admits and assists members operating in the Western India Region consisting of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Chhatishgarh, Madhya Pradesh and the Union Territories of Daman, Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
