Sonia to visit her constituency on Sep 26

Lucknow, Sep 24 (UNI) Congress President and United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit her parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli on September 26.

This will be the first visit of Ms Gandhi in the changed political scenario of the state with the Samajwadi Party supporting the UPA government at the Centre.

The visit also comes in the wake of the growing differences between the Mayawati government and the Congress leadership in the state.

According to Congress spokesperson Ms Gandhi will reach Rae Bareli in the morning of Friday. She will go to Anand Nagar to pay condolence on the death of one Ram Dulare and monitor the work of the Self Help Group(SHG) at Jagatpur.

Ms Gandhi will halt in the night at ITI guest house while on the second day she will meet couple of people before distributing sports kits to children.

The Congress leader will chair the meeting of a central vigilance department and venture for surprise checking of the developmental works in her constituency.

In the evening, she will leave for Lucknow from where she will fly back to New Delhi.
