Patna, Sep 24 (UNI) The RJD today accused the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar of pursuing dual politics.
Speaking to mediapersons here, national spokesman of the party Shyam Rajak alleged that the Chief Minister was misleading the people by fulfilling the agenda of communal forces on the one hand and projecting himself as the champion of the secular forces on the other.
''It is strange to note that Mr Kumar never fails to claim himself as the sympathiser of minorities while at the same time he strongly supports the candidature of L K Advani for Prime Minister who spits venom against the minority community,'' Mr Rajak said adding the communal forces were active in the state under the patronage of Mr Kumar.
He added that it was total negligence on the part of the state government that resulted in the breach of Kosi embankment at Kushaha in Nepal on August 18.
Despite the go-ahead signal from the Centre for the reconstruction of breached Kosi embankment, state government did not take any concrete steps in this regard, he added.
''If the NDA government had taken sincere steps for re-construction of Kosi embankment after the go-ahead from the centre, the situation would have been far better,'' Mr Rajak maintained.
