NCP takes out morcha in Thane
Thane, Sep 24 (UNI) The Thane unit of NCP today took out a 'morcha' to protest the bad condition of roads in the city.
About 250 activitsts, led by city unit president Jitendra Awhad, first gathered near the Government rest house and then marched towards a lane leading to the Mayor's house. There, the protestors took out a replica akin to the road signboard and named it as 'Mahapour khadda galli' (Mayor's pothole lane).
Talking to newsmen later, Mr Awhad demanded making the roads free of potholes, while condeming the ruling Shiv Sena in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) for its failure to repair and maintain the roads on a regular basis.
