Mysore Dasara will get more traditional touch this year: CM
Mysore, Sep 24 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today said that the famous Mysore Dasara festivities would be celebrated as naada habba (state festival) with traditional touches this year.
Addressing the media persons after reviewing the works taken up in the city he said the government had already released Rs 10 crore for the delebrations which was announced earlier.
Instructions had been issued that all the works should be completed by September 28, two days before the commencement of the festivities.
In this year's festivitites 'Ritha dasara' had been included in which information related to the farmers would be discussed besides and exhibition of seeds, fertilisers and special cow show also held.
The other events included this year dasara was rural dasara, women and children dasara, yoga dasara and special attraction with air show by the IAF personals.
He said the government had already taken an initiative to invite royal family members across the country to participate in the festivities and few of them woudl be honoured on the occasion.
High level security arrangments had made around the city during the festivities period following the recent bomb blasts across the country he added. Chief Minister, lated inspected airport upgradation work at Mandakali airport.
He also inspected the various dasara works which has been taken up in the city.
