Mumbai, Sept 24 : Music of Bollywood film 'Hello', which is based on the novel 'One night at call centre' by Chetan Bhagat, was released in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

The cast and crew of the film attended the glittering function and veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan released the music of the film.

The film is produced by actor turned director and producer Atul Agnihotri.

The subject of the novel 'One night at call centre' has been appreciated by the masses and this sounded encouraging for Atul Agnihotri.

"We felt that this novel has somehow found its place in the people's hearts and in such an age group which is impressionable. This novel should have been on the motivational bookshelves but still youth have connected with it (the novel), as there is a spiritual side too. Since the youth had connected with the film it was encouraging for me," said Agnihotri.

The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sohail Khan, Sharman Joshi, Isha Koppikar and Gul Panag.

The film based on the novel by Chetan Bhagat is a tale about the events that happen one night at a call center as seen through the eyes of the protagonist, Shyam (Sharman Joshi). It is a story of lost love, thwarted ambitions, absence of family affection and pressures of a globalized office.

Lyricist Jalees Sherwani has penned the lyrics of the film.

Music Director duo of Sajid and Wajid who have composed the music of the films like Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya, Hello Brother, Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, Tere Naam and Saawan - The Love Season said the music of the film 'Hello' was composed keeping in mind the script of the film.

"The music was composed keeping in mind the script of the film and the film has very versatile music and at the same time it is also very well written," said Sajid of the Music Director Duo of Sajid and Wajid.

Bollywood actress Gul Panag hoped that the audience will like this film as they had appreciated the novel.

"Atul Agnihotri and Chetan Bhagat have done a wonderful job with the screen play. The fact that Bhagat's novel 'One night at call centre' is still on the best sellers list speaks volumes about the story. I think Atul has done a wonderful job with the film and I hope that the audience will like it," said Gul.

The film is slated for October 10 release.
