MPHC stays charging of hiked fees
Jabalpur, Sep 24 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today stayed the charging of enhanced fees by an Indore-based private dental college and directed that the students be allowed to submit examination forms.
While hearing a plea by 65 students of Aurobindo Dental College, justices Deepak Mishra and K S Chouhan ordered issuance of notices to the Principal Secretary (Medical Education), Admission and Fixation of Fees Committee and the College.
''The students enrolled last year in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery course for which the fees were Rs 1.10 lakh. The Committee later hiked the fees to Rs 1,71,100. The college management set a September 25 deadline for payment,'' submitted Advocate Aditya Sanghi.
