New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) The Delhi Police have offered a 'suitable appointment' in the force to Maya Sharma, wife of late inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, who died of bullet wounds in the September 19 South Delhi encounter with militants.
''Ms Sharma has been offered a 'suitable appointment' in the Delhi Police on compassionate grounds,'' police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.
Mr Bhagat said the nature of the appointment would be decided after police recieves an application from Ms Sharma depending upon her qualifications.
Delhi Police Special Cell Inspector Sharma had sustained bullet injuries in Friday's encounter between the Delhi Police and militants at Batla House in Jamia Nagar. He had later succumbed in the hospital.
