New Delhi, Sept 24 (UNI) PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi today said the West Bengal government must sort out the controversies surrounding Tata Motors' Nano project in Singur to attract further investments in the state.
''The West Bengal government has to sort through its issues and figure out whether it wants investments,'' Ms Nooyi told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
This is a state issue which has national implications, she said adding ''But it has to be sorted out by state government so that foreign investments can come in.'' However, she said the company was bullish about the country and saw no problems in functioning in West Bengal.
''We have a plant in Kolkata. It's doing very very well. West Bengal has been a great state for us,'' she said.
The company had recently announced plans to invest 500 million dollars over the next three years in the country.
