10 yrs' imprisonment in dowry death case
Satna, MP, Sep 24 (UNI) A local court has sentenced two people to 10 years' imprisonment and fined them Rs 2,000 each in connection with a dowry-related death.
According to prosecution, Kolgawan-resident Nisha Singh (25) sustained burn injuries in suspicious circumstances and died on September 26, 2006.
A dowry case was registered against her husband Pramod Singh and mother-in-law Savitri by her father.
Additional Sessions Justice Amitabh Mishra delivered the verdict, yesterday.
