Mild snowfall in higher reaches
Shimla, Sep 23 (UNI) Higher peaks of the tribal districts of Kinnaur and Spiti, Dhauladhar ranges of Kangra district and Bharmour and Pangi areas of Chamba today received mild snowfall while Shimla and surrounding areas experienced hailstorms.
Shimla experienced thundershowers with hailstones this afternoon.
The capital town received 3.2 mm rainfall while Kalpa of District Kinnaur had 2 mm rainfall.
Kalpa was the coldest place in the state at 4.2 degree Celsius minimum temperature. The maximum temperature was recorded at 16.7 degrees.
The maximum and minimum temperatures in Shimla were recorded at 20 and 12 degrees. Sundernagar 28.5 and 15.3 degrees, Bhunter 27 and 13.4 degrees, Una 32 and 15 degrees, Mandi 29.2 and 16.3 degrees, Solan 26.8 and 15 degrees and Dharamshala minimum at 13.7 degrees.
The met office has forcast rain or thundershowers at few places in Himachal Pradesh.
