Inter-school Chess Championship to be held on Sep 27-28

Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) The Rustomjee Cambridge International School and Chanakya Chess Club will be organising the second inter-school Chess Championship for Maharashtra IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), CBSCE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and ICSE (Indian Schools Certificate Examinations) schools on September 27-28.

The tournament, which will be held at the Rustomjee Cambridge International School, will be conducted by the Bombay Chess Association under the auspices of Maharashtra Chess Association, a release issued here today stated.

There will be competition in the under-8, under-10, under-12 and under-16 age group categories with separate tournaments for boys and girls.

Apart from Participation Certificates and Best School and Runners-up trophies, there will 12 prizes in each boys groups and eight in each girls groups, the release added.
