New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) A pleasant weather prevailed in Delhi today as dry conditions and a drop in mercury to 31.6 Degree Celsius heralded the arrival of autumn in the city.
After a wet weekend, it was a dry weather in Delhi for the second day in succession with the Sun shining clear and bright in the sky.
However, despite the Sunlight, a cool air prevailed in Delhi with the cool winds led to a drop in maximum temperature to 31.6 Degree Celsius, two degrees below normal.
That Delhi is on the threshhold of Autumn is evident from weatherman forecasting the beginning of withdrawal of Monsoon from several parts of Northwest India by the weekend.
''There is likely withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India from September 26,''the Met office said.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
