Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) An Air India's pilot was allegedly manhandled by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer at the city airport that created resentment among the aviation officials here today, police said.
The incident reportedly occurred during routine security frisking that led to heated arguments between Captain M K Singh of Air India and Sub-Inspector S K Singh of CISF. Later, the pilot was allegedly beaten by the securityman.
Captain Singh was proceeding to pilot the Air India flight to Bagdogra from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose airport, when the incident happened.
The incident delayed the flight for about two-and-a-half hours from its scheduled 1305 hrs timing, official sources said.
