Centre has not learnt from Gujarat, Bangalore blasts : Advani

Dumka, Sep 23 (UNI) Taking a swipe at the Centre in the wake of ''recurring'' serial bomb blasts across the country, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani today said the Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government was not serious about internal security and instead more interested in vote bank politics.

Mr Advani addressing the party's 'Vijay Sankalp' rally at the Gandhi Maidan here asserted that it was the Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat, which initiated action againt the terrorists and Mr Madi's ''vital leads'' helped Delhi police arrest the key bomb plotters.

Referring to the serial blasts in New Delhi on September 13, the BJP leader said the UPA Government at the Centre did not take any lesson from Gujarat and Bangalore blasts and their reluctance to the Modi government's intelligence inputs cost so many live in the national capital.

'' The government has no right to continue and the Prime Minister should resign owning moral responsibility, '' Mr Advani said.

Making a scathing attack on the Prime Minister over the isue of price rise, Mr Advani said the government had failed miserably to maintain the economic stability in the country.

'' I have seen about 14 Prime Ministers in my political career but the present Prime Minister seems to be the most ineffcient, '' Mr Advani added.

Speaking about the alleged horse trading in the Lok Sabha during confidence motion, sought by Mr Singh, Mr Advani said the Congress had tarnished the image of the country.

'' The Congress began the trend of corruption by offering cash for getting favour from the MPs and this would create an adverse effect, '' Mr Advani stated.

In the context of Jharkhand, he said the state possessed immense natural and mineral rsources but it could not develop in the past eight years.
