World Tourism week to be organised in Goa from Sep 27
Panaji, Sept 22 (UNI) The State Department of Tourism, along with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), Travel and Tourism Association of Goa and Don Bosco's Travel and Tourism College, will be organising a World Tourism Week from September 27 to October 2.
The GTDC Chairman, Mr Sham Satardekar and Tourism Director Mr Elivs Gomes, jointly addressing mediapersons, said that theme of this festival is ''Tourism Responding to the Challenge of Climate change''. Various programmes have been chalked out for the whole week, they said.
Some of the programmes are Beach cleaning campaign, Workshop and seminar on ''GOA Green'' , Football matches betwen Goa XI and World XI, Penalty shoot outs, Konkani drama, Flower arranging competations/ exhibition, Cruise on boat Santa Monica for orphans and special children with cultural programme, Rangoli Competetion for professionals and housewives, Spice and Curry Fussion, Tour to Savoi Verem spice garden, Photo Competition and heritage tour for senior Citizens.
