SP warns of agitation for early student union polls
Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI) Demanding early student union polls, opposition Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh warned the government of big agitation under the leadership of SP MP and youth wing incharge Akhilesh Yadav if the needful not done.
During the concluding day of 'Chatra Jagrukta Saptah', which was called here for restoration of student election between 15 to 22 September, those who attended the meet today handed over a memorandum to the UP Governor T V Rajeswar regarding the same. After staging demonstration and dharna, the students procession marched to the Governor's house and warned of massive agitation if the date for the election not declared on time.
In the memorandum it was alleged that the Mayawati-led BSP government was plotting against the students and youth and framing them in fake cases.
