Chandigarh, Sep 22 (UNI) The Haryana Tourism has decided to organise the third Pinjore Heritage Festival from October 3 to 5 at the world famous Yadavindra Gardens to celebrate the centuries' old heritage of Pinjore town and its Gardens.
Announcing this here today, Minister of State for Tourism Kiran Choudhry said the annual festival would be inaugurated by Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would preside over the function.
Haryana Governor A R Kidwai would be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the function on October five.
The event would be organised with the support of Union Ministry of Tourism.
Ms Choudhry said the festival this year would also showcase handlooms and handicrafts items made by the craftsmen of the state.
A street bazaar reminiscent of the Mughal times would be created with shops and clusters of stalls, tented pavilion, food plaza and performance stage, she said.
''The entrance gate, parking area as well as the entire Gardens would be illuminated in the evenings in a manner which would enhance the pristine beauty of these Gardens by highlighting its architectural, aesthetic and landscape splendour,'' she said.
She said that cultural evenings would be hosted on all three days with the teams selected by NZCC-Patiala and NCZCC-Allahabad.
Famous and renowned artists had been invited to regale the audience on the evenings of all three days of the functions.
