Patil to visit Orissa tomorrow to review flood situation
New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit Orissa tomorrow to take stock of the situation in the flood-hit areas of the State.
Mr Patil will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to discuss the flood situation. He will also undertake an aerial survey of the flood-hit districts including Puri, Cuttak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Jajpur.
The Home Minister will be accompanied by Minister of State for Rural Development Chandra Sekhar Sahu, the Secretary (Border Management) and other senior officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The flood situation in Orissa has worsened with breach of the embankment in the Mahanadi river.
