One person suffers bullet injuries in firing at Dadar
Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) One person was injured today when two unidentified persons on a motorbike opened fire at him near St Anthony D'silva High School at Dadar here today.
Police said, at around 1645 hours, two persons including Baba Gude, a notorious gangster from Prabhadevi, came on a bike and allegedly fired two rounds at Prakash Shankar Ambre (40), who used to ferry children from the school.
Prakash was inside the Maruti Van in which he used to ferry the children, when the incident occurred. While one bullet hit Ambre's left shoulder, the other missed him completely.
Ambre has been admitted in the civic-run KEM Hospital, police added.
Gude and Ambre were having old rivalry over the eviction of D'silva Chawl at Prabhadevi. To take revenge, Gude might have fired at him today, police stated.
Police have registered an attempt to murder case and further investigations are in progress.
