NABARD sanctions loan of Rs 320.23 cr to AP
Hyderabad, Sep 22 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned loan assistance of Rs 320.23 crore for 224 roads, seven bridges and an equal number of lift-irrigation projects in the state.
The projects were sanctioned under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF - XIV) by the Project Sanctioning Committee in a meeting held at Goa recently. With the sanctioning of these projects, the total sanctions to the state government under RIDF- XIV during the current year would be Rs 810.73 crore, a press release here said.
NABARD sanctioned Rs 124.02 crore for Lift Irrigation projects, which would be implemented by the Andhra Pradesh Lift Irrigation Development Corporation (APSIDC) in Guntur, Khamman, Krishna, Nalgonda and West Godavari districts.
It sanctioned Rs 196.21 crore for development of 224 rural-road projects and seven rural-bridge projects, which would be implemented by the Panchayati Raj Engineering Department.
