Greater Noida, UP, Sep 22 (UNI) The managing director of an export firm was killed and more than 25 others injured in a clash with ex-employees of the company this morning.
Agitating employees of the company also damaged several vehicles during the clash, according to the police.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Baburam said dispute between the employees and the management of the company has been going on since long and today the agitating employees attacked the company officials leading to the death of its Managing Director Lalit Kumar.
They also caused extensive damage to the vehicles and company property during rioting, he said.
More than 25 other employees of the company were also injured during the 'attack', the officer added.
Sources said the agitation started after several employees were unceremoniously sacked some time back by the company management and tension was brewing ever since.
A large posse of policemen have been deployed there as tension prevails in the area.
