Colombo, Sep 22 (UNI) Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) may have to re-think its decision to remove the ban on players who have joined the rebel ICL with sports minister Gamini Lokuge yet to approve the move.
Lokuge has called SLC officials to explain the reasons for removing the ban.
''I don't want our board to be against the BCCI and the ICC.
I have invited the board members to convince me about their decision (on revoking ban). The decision by the interim committee was not taken with my consent and I am entitiled to re-impose the ban,'' Lokuge was quoted as saying by 'Cricketnext'.
The minister is expected to meet the SLC officials on either tomorrow or on Wednesday.
