Behera elevated as Executive Director of NABARD

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) P L Behera, Chief General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has been elevated to the post of Executive Director of the Bank.

Mr Behera, a post graduate in science and a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, started his career with the Central Bank in Delhi as Probationary officer, a release issued by the Bank said here today.

Subsequently, he joined NABARD on its formation in 1982. He has had wide experience and exposure in areas of project planning, development banking operations as also watershed development.

Mr Behera was also heading West Bengal NABARD. He was Principal of Regional Training COllege at Bolpur and a Joint Director at Bankers Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow, the release added.
