Madikeri, Sep 22 (UNI) Agriculturist D K Ponnappa and two of his friends succeeded in catching a 12 feet long and 1.5 feet thick Python roaming in his land on Saturday.
Police said today that Mr Ponnappa, during his morning round, got a rude shock when he stumbled against a huge reptile in his land at Yadavanadu near Somwarpet.
He sent words to neighbours and people did assemble. With the help of Sunil and Shekar he caught the python in his hand and posed for a picture.
Later the Python was handed over to forest department, who let it inside the reserve forest.
