Sniffer dog helps cops to detect 15 kg ganja from Andaman Port
Port Blair, Sep 21 (UNI) A sniffer dog today helped Andaman's CID unit to detect 15 kg of ganja from two bags of passengers, coming out from Chennai-Port Blair bound ship M V Swaraj Dweep.
Following a tip off, a team of CID unit an eye on passengers getting off M V Swaraj Dweep Vessel in Haddo Port of Port Blair city. Finally, when a labour was coming out with two heavy bags the police dog smelt Ganja and alerted the CID team.
After investigation it was found the both the bags were containing 15 KG of Ganja, which has a market value of Rs. 2.10 lakhs at present, police daid.
For time being the labour Ammavasi, a resident of Bambooflat village of South Andaman was arrested while the owner of the bag reportedly managed to run way.
