1.53 lakh youth get jobs in IT sector in Cong rule: YSR
Kurnool,Andhra Pradesh, Sep 21 (UNI) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said 1.53 lakh educated youth secured jobs in the IT sector with the efforts of the State Government during the last four and a half years.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the Information Technology Special Economic Zone to be built over 35 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore at Thadakalapalli Village in the district, he said IT sector was very useful in creating employment for the educated youth.
The SEZ would help 11,000 youth to secure jobs directly and another 40,000 indirectly in the district, he said adding the government had taken all steps to create employment opportunities for the youth.
Out of Rs 51,000 crore exports from India, Rs 26,000 crore was generated through the TT sector, he said and added IT exports from the State had increased to 15 per cent as against eight per cent during the TDP Regime.
Launching the prestigious Rajiv Aarogya Sri Health Insurance Scheme at Kurnool Town, he said the government had launched the scheme to provide quality corporate hospital treatment for various ailments for the poor in the state.
