Gudayalli, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 20 (UNI) The market share of Skodaindia, a fully-owned subsidiary of Skadaauto Czech Republic (Vokswagen Group) touched 30 per cent across the country in luxury car segmemt, according to its Managing Director Karsten Bogun.
Addressing a press conference after inaugurating their first 3s facility (sales, service and spares) dealership showroom here today, he said the new showroom would cater to the customers' needs in the commercial city of Vijayawada.
He said after the opening of its showroom in Chennai in this month, the showroom opened here was a step towards the commitment of Skodaindia to provide clientele a wider reach.
Mr Bogan said Skodaindia had 38 dealerships in the country and had set a target of reaching 65 dealership by the end of the year. It had sold over 62,000 units since November 2001.
He said Skoda provides the best technology and style in addition to a large range of cars catering to the needs of customars.
Skoda entered the Indian premium car market in 2001 by setting up a plant at Shendra, on the outskirts of Aurangabad, he said adding Skodaindia had so far introduced four product lines, including the flagship Skodasuperb, Skodalaura, Skodaoctavia, and Skodafabia under which 19 models in the country had hit the roads.
