Rs 142 crore being spent on 80 Water Supply Schemes in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 20 (UNI) An amount of Rs 142 crore are being spent on 80 Water Supply Schemes (WSS) for providing better drinking water facility in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Of this, Rs 4.72 crore have so far been spent while 12 schemes are expected to be completed by the end of current fiscal.
An official spokesman said today Rs 93.95 crore are being spent under Roads and Building for upgradation of 95 roads. Of this, Rs 51.65 crore have so far been spent.
For providing better power supply to the people under a central scheme, 107 sub-stations renovated, 207 sub stations created and 27902 m are being installed at a cost of Rs 30.52 crore.
Under Irrigation sector, Rs 77.65 crore have been earmarked for modernisation of Daddi and Martand canals and 17622 acres of land are being provided better irrigation facilities.
