Lok Ayukta arrests two engineers for accepting graft

Mysore, Sep 20 (UNI) Two engineers of Chamundeswari Electricity Supply Company were arrested by Lokayukta police today after they were caught red handed while accepting bribes from a contractor.

According to Lok Ayuktha officials assistant engineer Prasanna Kumar and assistat executive engineer Nandish had demanaded Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 from the contractor to clear his bill Rs 10.15 lakhs works done by him.

Following the complaint from the contractor the Lok Ayuktha officials trapped both the enginers and arrested them. While accepting the bribe amount at their office.
