London, Sept 20 : JK Rowling has said that she "can't imagine ever leaving" Edinburgh after receiving an award honouring her contribution to literature.
The Harry Potter creator, who modelled Hogwarts on George Heriot's School and who famously began writing in cafes in the city while she was a struggling single parent, said that she's in love with the city.
"Edinburgh is a very special place to me. Very much so. I can't imagine ever leaving," the Scotsman quoted her, as saying.
"When I was living in Leith I never thought I would be invited to an event like this," she added.
When asked how she felt after receiving the Edinburgh Award, Rowling said, "completely thrilled."
