Goa ranked top in western region-CM
Panaji, Sep 20 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat has said that the State has been adjudged number one in the western region by ''India Today ''.
Mr Kamat was speaking as chief guest at the concluding function of Fourth International group relations conference (IGRC) 2008, organised by business world at Margaon south Goa today.
The Chief Minister congratulated the organisers for choosing Goa as venue for holding the conference.
Mr Kamat further said that Goa has made tremendous progress in all sectors. ''Now Goa is one of the major tourist destination of the world where the influx of tourists both demestic and foreign is large.'' He said Goa was considered as one of the five major tourist destinations in the world.
Chief Minister gave away participation cerficates to the 28 members of IGRC 2008.
