Belgaum, Sep 20 (UNI)Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today accused the Congress of 'hatching a conspiracy' to destablise the BJP government in the State, which was performing 'beyond' the expectations of the people.

Addressing a public rally in Hukkeri town near here, he said the opposition parties were trying to subvert his 100-day-old Government as they were jealous of its 'tremendous' achievement.

Condemning the advisory sent by the Centre asking the state government to protect the people of minority communities, he alleged that the Congress was targeting BJP governments, while it turned a ''blind eye'' to more serious violence taking place in other states.

''What happened in Delhi during the last one week, what about the continued violence in Jammu and Kashmir and Assam. How many states will the UPA government serve notice under provisions of Section 355 of the constitution,'' he asked.

Later, speaking to reporters, he criticised the Congress and Janata Dal(S) leaders for their remarks.

''I know what these Congress leaders like Oscar Fernandes, Margaret Alva, Mallikarjun Kharge and JD(S) supremo H D Devegowda and his son Kumaraswamy feel after BJP's success in Karnataka.

This is the reason they want to destablise my government. If I expose their misdeeds, it will shock the people of the state,'' he said.

The Chief Minister said the government had acted swiftly in putting an end to violence following attacks on prayer halls and places of worship in some districts.

''We brought the situation under control within 24 hours, arrested nearly 200 people and ordered CoD inquiry. Now I have agreed to order a judicial probe. What more these opposition parties want,'' he asked.

The Chief Minister challenged the Congress that no force could disturb his Government.

The incidents witnessed in Mangalore and other areas of the state was being effectively handled well by the officials. The culprits were already arrested and none of those involved in creating disturbances in any part of the state would be spared, he added.
