New Bond theme song dubbed 'worst ever' by fans
London, Sept 20 : The new James Bond theme song, which has been penned by White Stripes guitarist Jack White, and crooned by Alicia Keys, has been blasted by fans as the worst ever.
The track is the theme for the eagerly anticipated 'Quantum Of Solace' - starring Daniel Craig, 40, and Gemma Arterton, 22 - that is due out at the end of October.
'Another Way To Die' had its first airing on radio stations this week.
However, its bizarre lyrics have left 007 fans baffled.
Fans are so furious with the song that they have flooded websites with complaints about it. One said the chorus read like a "shopping list of ways to die", others attacked the "dreadful" rhymes.
Music critics are not impressed, either, claiming White and soulful Alicia "don't gel". They also complain that it relies too heavily on old Bond tunes.
"The first mistake was mimicking an iconic film score with some electric guitars and modern effects, which is always, always, always a bad idea," the Daily Star quoted American music critic Todd Martens, as saying.
"By the 15th second, Another Way to Die reveals itself to be little more than hard-rock updating of the James Bond fanfare," Martens said.
