AJSU warns of agitation if govt fails to meet deadline by Aug 15
Ranchi, Sep 20 (UNI) The All Jharkhand Students' Union has set November 15 as deadline for the government to respond to their longstanding demand and warned of resorting to stir if their deadline was ignored.
AJSU president Vimal Kachchap today said the party would take out a protest march to Raj Bhavan from Albert Ekka Chowk on November 15, to coincide with the state's foundation day.
Mr Kachchap said the AJSU activists were involved in separate state movements and thousands of activists were still being harassed by court cases lodged during the agitation period.
He alleged that scores of youths burdened with cases and poverty even went underground.
Among major demands, the AJSU was asking for withdrawal of cases against the party workers and economic package for them.
