16 trucks with essential commodities leave for Bihar
Mumbai, Sep 20 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has sent a fleet of 16 trucks carrying essential commodities worth Rs one crore for flood-affected people of Bihar.
The fleet was flagged off by Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh from Islam Gymkhana, Marine Drive here yesterday. The fleet is carrying essential commodities such as foodgrains, clothes, kerosene oil, milk powder, medicines, water, blankets and bed sheets.
Minister for Social Welfare Chandrakant Handore, Ministers of State Baba Siddiki and Suresh Shetty, MLA Kripashankar Singh, Co-ordinator Raj Shroff, MLAs Prof Janardhan Chandurkar; Jagannath Shetty, Corporator, Aslam Khan, Zakir Ahmed and others were present on the occasion, an official release said here today.
