Mother Dairy hikes prices of two top-end milk variants

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) Mother Dairy has increased the consumer price of its full cream and toned milk variants in poly packs by Re one from tomorrow.

Announcing this here today, Mother Dairy CEO Paul Thachil said the prices of three other popular variants--bulk vended toned milk, double toned milk and skimmed milk in poly packs--will remain unchanged.

The full cream milk and toned milk in poly packs will now cost Rs 26 and Rs 21 per litre respectively.

Giving reasons for this price hike, he said there has been a considerable increase in the prices of raw materials, processing, packaging, transportation and distribution costs due to increase in the prices of raw milk, fuel and packaging film. To ensure viability and continuous supply of liquid milk in NCR and also keeping in view the need to control inflation, we have only increased the rates of two priced variants.'' Increase in rates of cattle feed, oil cake and deoiled cake have also impacted the raw milk price hike, he added.
