Jabalpur, Sep 19 (UNI) The minority community today impressed upon Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan the need for a judicial inquiry and arrest of those involved in setting ablaze a place of worship here last night.
A delegation headed by Bishop Jerald Almeda met Mr Chouhan at the Agriculture University guest house here today and handed over a memorandum in this regard.
The Bishop sought security to the community people, their places of worship and academic institutions run by missionaries in the wake of frequent attack on minority institutions recently.
Mr Chouhan described the incident as 'unfortunate' and assured to take immediate action against the accused.
Mr Chouhan arrived at the cantonment town as part of his 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' to publicise the BJP government's achievements ahead of the year-end Assembly election.
