Jharkhand outfit pips Dehradun's MP Sports College

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) Alok Baa scored a brace to lead St Ignatius High School, Jharkhand to a 4-0 win over MP Sports College, Dehradun in the sub junior category of the Subroto Cup here today.

The Jharkhand outfit was leading 2-0 in the first half. Besides, Alok's brace in the 30th and 54th minute, Malendra Munda and Jayant Kunur also contributed a goal each in the 12th and 44th min respectively.

In the second match of the day, Green Wood Hr Secondary School, Nagaland overpowered BKSP, Dhaka 2-1.

For Nagaland team Tia Joshi and Wasadplung scored a goal each in the 23rd and 42nd minutes respectively, while for the Bangladeshi team the lone goal came from Salyan Shah in the 61st minute.

In the last match of the sub junior category today, Sukantanagar Vidyaniketan, West Bengal defeated Namchi Sports Hostel, Sikkim 1-0.

For West Bengal, Amit Roy scored in the 49th minute.

In the junior section, NCC (West Bengal and Sikkim) pipped Town High School, Orissa 5-2.

The team from West Bengal was leading 2-1 in the first half, but in the second half they increased the margin scoring three more goals against Town High's one goal.

For NCC (WB&S) Shyan Bankorya scored two goals in the 8th and 76th minute. Nabin Lakra Anup Lakra and Suresh Kujur scored a goal each in the 31st, 50th and 64th minute respectively.

For Orissa Sanju Ahmad scored a brace in the 27th and 59th minute.

In the last match of the day, NCC (North East Region) defeated St Joseph's School, Goa 4-1.

For NCC (NER) MS Bongliana scored a brace in the 7th and 38th minute, while Lalrinsanga and Dennies scored a goal each in the 15th and 19th minute to increase the margin.
