Indore, Sep 19 (UNI) An Ahmedabad Police team is here for the past three days in connection with interrogation of criminals having links with the banned Students Islamic Movement of India and in search of a certain SIMI worker.
''The team is here in the context of the recent Ahmedabad serial blasts,'' Inspector-General (Indore Range) Anil Kumar confirmed to UNI while adding that he had no further details.
After SIMI's name came up in connection with the Delhi blasts, Delhi Police has sought SIMI-related details from Madhya Pradesh in general and Indore Police in particular. Information about some persons -- linked to SIMI leader Safdar Nagori -- was sought by Delhi Police.
Nagori and 12 associates were arrested on March 26 during a Madhya Pradesh Police crackdown on SIMI at Indore, Ujjain and Khandwa.
