Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Garware Offshore Services Limited today announced today that it has signed a three-year contract valued at USD 15 million for its new 60T Anchor Handling Tug cum Supply Vessel (AHTSV), to be deployed in Africa from January-February 2009.
Commenting on the contract, Garware Offshore Services Vice chairman and managing director Aditya Garware said, ''The expansion in the fleet size is to fulfill the rising demand of vessels from the oil exploration and production companies. With the delivery of this new AHTSV the fleet size will touch nine vessels, inching us closer to our target of 13-14 vessels by FY 2010.'' This deployment in Africa, is a new market for the Company. In July this year, the Company had deployed a 60T AHTSV in Vietnam for a contract period of up to three-years. This is in line with the Company's vision of becoming a Global Offshore Provider.
