Vijayawada, Sep 19: BJP chief Venkaiah Naidu dared UPA to ban the Sangh Parivar and wait for the whole country to revolt. Reacting strongly to the statement made by Veerappa Moily in Bangalore on Wednesday, Sep 17 that the Centre might not hesitate to ban the Sangh Parivar, Bharatiya Janata Party vice president M Venkaiah Naidu today dared the UPA government to initiate the exercise.
Addressing newspersons here, he said if the Congress went ahead to ban the Sangh Parivar for being allegedly involved in the attacks on the institutions of minority communities, it would not get the seats that it got in the last assembly elections in Karnataka.
Stating that attack on places of worship in Karnataka was unfortunate and condemnable, he alleged that the UPA government was adopting soft attitude on ISI while implementing hard line on RSS. The BJP would not approve attacks on Christian community, he added.
Naidu said an organisation called 'New life' was allegedly behind evangelical activities in the state by getting funds from foreign countries.
He said the state government led by Yeddyurappa acted swiftly after attacks on places of worship and prayer halls by arresting the miscreants who were behind it.
