Bisleri receives 'India Star 2008' award for packaging excellence

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Bisleri, the makers of bottled water, today received the national award, 'India Star 2008', from the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) for excellence in packaging of its 'Bisleri Mountain Water from the Himalayas' here.

Speaking on the occasion, Bisleri International chairman and managing director Ramesh Chauhan said ''I am extremely delighted to receive this award and it reinforces Bisleri's position in the Indian premium and natural water segment. Indian Institute of Packaging is recognized for excellence in packaging development for functional design and appeal. It symbolizes achievements in the field of packaging and converting machinery, material handling and testing equipment.'' Mr Chauhan further said ''Bisleri, the leaders in bottled water industry, has a range of products including Bisleri Natural Mountain Water with added minerals and Bisleri Mountain Water from Himalayas bottled at source in the Himalayas. Bisleri Mountain Water from the Himalayas, which was launched in December 2007, marked the brands entry into the premium segment of natural spring water bottled at Uttarakhand, in the Himalayas from the house of Bisleri International Pvt Ltd. It is available in two pack sizes -- 500ml and 1L, it is a hexagonal shaped bottle quite unlike the usual round or square bottle.
