Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) An anonymous call threatening to blow up three major local railway stations here between 1900 and 2200 hrs today turned out to be a hoax.
The call, received by the city police control room, had threatened to blow up Churchgate, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and Borivali railway stations between 1900 hrs and 2000 hrs, Railway Control Room sources said.
Taking no chances, however, security was further beefed up in the Metropolis following the threat.
Security at the railway stations was also scaled up and police were checking all baggage of the common man entering or leaving the station. Security had also been increased in the local trains with cops keeping a constant vigil on the locals, sources said.
