Six-member gang of robbers nabbed with stolen goods
Moga, Sep 18 (UNI) The police have arrested a six-member gang of robbers last evening and recovered stolen goods including a camera, steel articles and a motorcycle from them.
Senior Superintendent police Ashok Baath said here today that the gang, led by a local resident Kuldeep Singh, was active in the district since one year and responsible for a number of thefts of two wheelers and electronic goods.
The police on a tip-off raided a secluded place near Kabarri Bazar last evening and over powered three members on the spot while the remaining three who had fled, were nabed after a chase.
Those arrested included Kuldeep Singh, the kingpin, Gurmail, Ajay, Amandeep, Laddoo and Ashok Kumar all residents of Moga.
Police recovered a stolen Motorcycle, stolen electronic camera and other valuables worth Rs 45,000 and recovery of more stolen goods were expected, Mr Baath.
