Lafarge launches Dhoni's ad to promote new brand

Jamshedpur, Sep 18 (UNI) Private sector cement manufacturer Lafarge India will more than double its production capacity in the country in next five years.

Addressing a press conference here today on the ocassion of the launch of a new advertisement featuring its brand ambassador and ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni to promote new product concreto, company CEO Uday Khanna said Lafarge with three cement plants in India - two in Chhattisgarh and a grinding plant in Jharkhand - has a total cement production capacity of 5.5 million ton.

'' We have launched an ambitious programme to more than double this capacity in the next five years, '' he added.

Mr Khanna hoped the new commercial with Dhoni will help promote their new product. '' Lafarge Concreto is a premium cement of international standard, formulated and developed with assistance from Lafarge's Technical Centre for Asia in Kuala Lumpur. Along with superior strength and enhanced durability, Lafarge Concreto also offers many aesthetic benefits, and adds value to homebuilding by becoming an important factor in its decor, '' he stated.
