Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced major concessions for private schools which included exemption from seeking Change of Land Use (CLU) and No Objection Certificate (NoC) for recognition of school.
The Chief Minister, who was responding to the demands made by the representatives of various associations of private schools in a meeting here today, announced that those who had applied upto April 10, 2007, the cut off date for applying for recognition of school, would need not seek CLU from Town and Country Planning Department and NoC from the Municipality.
Mr Hooda said that the government has about 2650 pending applications seeking recognition for schools and the decision of exemption from CLU and NoC would benefit all of them.
With a view to facilitating those seeking recognition for schools, Mr Hooda also announced that a district level committee headed by Deputy Commissioner and District Education Officer as Member Secretary would deal with the pending cases of recognition of schools at district level.
He empowered this committee to give ten per cent further relaxation in the norms for recognition.
