DYFI conference at Villupuram from Sep 26 to 29
Puducherry, Sep 18: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) will organise conference (Puducherry and Tamil Nadu), at Villupuram from September 26 to 29, DYFI Tamil Nadu Deputy Secretary Ramesh Babu said on Thursday, Sep 18.
Talking to newspersons here, he said DYFI all India General Secretary Tapas Sinha would inaugurate the conference in which CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechuri, party functionaries from Tamil Nadu and 516 delegates would take part in the conference.
He said about one lakh youth would participate in rally to be taken out on the concluding day of the conference.
Demanding relaxation of conditions to avail the unemployment allowance to the educated unemployed youths and provision of jobs only through employment exchange, he said the administration should ensure that local youths get jobs in industrial units here.
On the Supreme court direction to convert OBC reservation as open general category in case of no candidates to avail the reserved seats, the DYFI leader said this would defeat the very purpose of reservation and social justice.
He urged the Centre and the Tamil Nadu Government to take immediate steps to prevent it.
