Washington, Sep 18 (UNI) The Bush Administration has parried a question on incidents of communal violence in India, saying these are issues for the Indian government to deal with.
In reply to a question, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said yesterday that within any multi-ethnic, multi-confessional democracy, there is an important need for tolerance and understanding.
''We see that in India. However, you do see incidents of tension and violence flaring up,'' he said.
