BJP-led NDA will come to power at Centre: Venkaiah
Vijayawada, Sep 18 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the leadership of Mr L K Advani would form the government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing a press conference here, he said it was not clear which party would gain advantage in the coming election in Andhra Pradesh as the situation was still confusing in the state.
The party had decided to go alone in Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the State, Mr Naidu said adding that the party would assess the situation before the elections on possible tie-up with other parties.
The Rajasekhara Reddy Government and the TDP were not strong enough to come to power again in Andhra Pradesh, he claimed and added that the Congress now deserted the parties like CPI, CPI (M) and the TRS with which it had a truck prior to the Assembly elections in 2004.
Speaking on the matinee-idol Chiranjeevi, who had formed the Praja Rajyam Party, Mr Naidu said he was a good artiste and had people's support in the state. Surely the Praja Rajyam would efficiently contribute to the state politics, he added.
